Enlightenment? What?
Having practiced and studied Nichiren Shoshu True Buddhism for as many years as I have, as a lay person, I find it somewhat enjoyable discussing various concepts with people both online and in person though often it is far more difficult online. Online conversations can deteriorate quickly when people make assumptions and let their egos drive those assumptions. And also it seems certain people actually find pleasure in being wrong about things for a variety of reasons.

Death of a Cult Leader
Death of a Cult Leader A Buddhist Leader Is Accused Of Rape The SGI spent over 10 million dollars and it took nearly 12 years to get the rape case settled. In the end there were no consequences for the cult leader. There were and probably are more crimes from money laundering to tax evasion that are covered up mainly through propaganda efforts by the SGI. How many other rapes have been covered up we may never know.

The Return of Nature
As a scientist that has practiced Buddhism for 50 years I rarely indulge in futurism mainly because the future is not predictable. Futurism is not a science. Even though nowadays we have a lot of wealthy techies and the usual political hacks making all kinds of predictions about the future, I always take their ideas with skepticism because there are just too many random events that can change future outcomes. It is good for people to understand that making predictions is nearly always based on trends.

Living in fear is a not feeling any of us want to experience but when sovereigns create or ignore laws that create more fear amongst their citizens it causes an uneasy overall feeling in people.

Jesse from his bedroom window that overlooked the street in their cozy home on the West Coast of California at 7:00 AM on a bright clear Friday morning watched as his 17 year old older sister snuck out of the house and got in a dark red VW bug that had pulled up in front of the house. The History Of Haiku
Haiku is a traditional form of Japanese poetry. It has a rich and spiritual history. Many people relate Haiku to Zen. Haiku did not originate from Zen. Zen is not even considered a school or branch of Buddhism by scholars and universities comparative religion departments because Zen does not adhere to any Buddhist Sutra (teaching) but promotes nihilism. Unfortunately with the proliferation of the internet false equivalents are epidemic.
