Mercury, Mars and the Moon - March 30th

We've all stopped and stared at the night sky from time to time but few of us are aware of what we're looking at. Many of us are surprised to learn that our nearest neighbors, the planets, are just as easily seen ias the Moon and the stars themselves.

For example, Venus and Mars dominate the evening twilight sky at the beginning of the month while Jupiter and Saturn are clearly visible to early risers. Venus will be lost from view around mid-month but tiny Mercury, the smallest planet in our solar system, will swap places with its sibling and emerge into the evening twilight by month's end.
