Bob Guccione was more than just the founder of OMNI magazine, beyond this, he was an artist and lover of all things science fiction and art. He collected a variety of pieces from some of the world's most renowned artists; names like H.R. Giger, Stanislaw Fernandes, and Jim Burns. Thanks to his love of sci-fi art and his celebrity status, Guccione was able to commission some of the most recognized science fiction artists to create pieces that were later featured in various OMNI magazine issues.  Thanks to a partnership with EBTH, you can now own a piece of the Bob Guccione OMNI magazine collection.

Assortment of OMNI Magazine 1980 35mm 'Dune' Slides

This assortment of 35mm slides was originally prepared for usage in the July 1980 edition of OMNI magazine. The featured slides are images from the movie Dune, as well as the ear image from Manfred Mann’s Earth Band’s The Roaring Silence album cover. 

OMNI Magazine Cover Layout Page January 1985

This OMNI magazine pre-production cover layout page was featured on the January 1985 cover prior to its public release. The cover art was created by artist Stanislaw Fernandes and it is titled 'Utopia'. The illustration depicts a female cyborg face with an abstract rainbow pattern emitting from the forehead. The woman, or 'femanoid,' represents new birth and transformation. There are handwritten notes within the margins indicating placement of colors and text used for the final version of the magazine.

The layout sheet features original handwritten editor’s notes on the edges. This assortment of 35mm slides originally prepared for usage in the December 1979 edition of OMNI magazine is a sci-fi collector's dream. The 10 piece assortment is an original sample of the imagery used in the December 1979 issue that was dedicated to the seven wonders of the universe, Mars, space travel, and the ethics of human experimentation.  

1970s OMNI Magazine Concept Sketches by Bob Guccione

If you are a lover of OMNI magazine, this set of circa 1970s science fiction magazine concept drawings are a must have. Drawn by the co-founder of OMNI, Bob Guccione, the collection features six pages of logo designs, portrait sketches and magazine layout ideas. Concept magazine title ideas included Defense, Scifi , Media People, Sigma, Vega, Cyber, Oz, Omni and more. Also included are direction notes for a prospective multimedia piece titled 'Machine Intelligence.' All pieces are unsigned. These items come from the personal collection of Penthouse and OMNI founder Bob Guccione.

Original OMNI Magazine Dinosaur 120mm Transparencies

Did you ever wonder how dinosaurs did it? Well in the February 1988 issue of OMNI magazine you find out. Own a set the of original OMNI magazine transparencies featuring that now infamous dinosaur imagery. This set features nine renditions of the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus, Brontosaurus and more, all in various sexual positions. The featured images were printed and included in the February 1988 OMNI magazine issue.

If there is anything you can collect as a sci-fi fan, it is this. This piece is the original framed OMNI magazine finalized logo concept design. Featured are various stages of the OMNI logo design, along with the final product featured in an article on the pages of OMNI. The piece is matted in off-white and presented under glass in a black frame with a wire on the back for hanging. 

Collection of OMNI Magazine 'Star Trek' 1991 35mm Slides

Any Trekkie would set their phasers to stun in order to get their hands on these. This assortment of 35mm slides of images originally prepared for usage in the December 1991 edition of OMNI magazine. The collection contains ten photographic slides of the characters from Star Trek: The Next Generation and the movie Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. The slides were featured in a special Star Trek edition issue of OMNI. This would be a perfect edition to any Star Trek collection.

This assortment of 35mm slides feature images originally prepared for usage in the August 1981 edition of OMNI magazine. This collection contains ten photographic slides of various iconic science and sci-fi subjects, including Nikola Tesla, Albert Einstein, Indiana Jones, Mel Brooks and more. All featured images were used to accompany articles printed in the magazine at the time.
