I can't see. What happened? Oh, tech's cash... ahhh, my fucking head... I can't breathe very well its like trying to breath through a goddamn shirt. Wait, is this one of the bags?!?! Oh shit oh shit ohshitohshit—

"Oooh, I think the little angel woke up."

Pross?

"Pross, what the FUCK?! Why am I in the bag?! We had a fucking deal!"

"Hahahah..."

Was this prick laughing?

"We did. Until tech said you wouldn't pay any of your debts around town. If you won't pay him, how will you pay me?" He knocked on my head gently. "C'mon, you know better than to spend your cash and use up the Utopia."

Oh god, I can hear the ocean... we're at the cliff.

"Pross, please. I-I have deals in Japan, I'm getting my payment tomorrow!"

He laughed again and dropped me and I hit the ground hard, landing on my side. I didn't move, I knew I was close to the edge, I could hear the water crashing and seagulls screeching their fucking bird heads off.

"I didn't want to do this... you were a great seller. I told you not to fucking touch the supply! You can't sell and be an addict! You could have been a model or a fucking rocket scientist and you chose to sell. You have no idea how happy that made me and now look at you. Worthless."

I felt like I had been kicked in the stomach, physically and figuratively. Mostly because he had actually kicked me in the stomach.

Off the goddamn cliff.

Before I could react, I felt the wind rush past my body as I was dragged towards the water by gravity. I have been feeling so weighed down lately and now I'm weightless... kind of peaceful, in a shitty I'm-about-to-die kind of way.

Any second now.

Crash. There was a sharp pain when my body hit the water.

Icy coldness enveloped my body.

I can't see. I can't breathe. My hands are tired so I won't struggle. Think I'm okay with dying... I've been through worse. A lot... worse... It's going dark.

I feel myself being lifted...and I see a bright light.

Wait, what the fuck? There is no fucking way I'm going to heaven.

"Ugh..." I cough up water, puking a little and it tastes like stomach acid and McDonald's. Honestly doesn't taste that bad.

My sight is blurry, but it clears up slowly. I'm not on the shore... "W-what the fuck.."

"You're awake!"

I look up to see a smiling face, almost so happy it hurts to look. "Who the fuck are you?"

His happiness faded into a worry "I-I saw you fall in the water, so I brought you here...I'm sorry."

"I'm not complaining..." I stood up shakily my knees feeling like they might collapse. I'm fucking soaked and not in the good way. I look at him. "Where's the exi—" Holy shit. "You have wings."

"Um...yeah," he said with a shameful look at his giant fucking vulture wings.

What in the flying fuck. "I don't feel so..." I slowly topple over as everything goes black.

"Miss!"

I feel my body be nudged.

"I said I'm not going to school today, tell the principle to go choke on a big one," I slur, turning away from the nudger. I fucking hate when mom does that...

"Um...Choke on one what? And what's a principle?"

Oh... right... the school burnt down years ago.

"Fuck..." I force my body into an upright position, which is not an easy task, I can fucking tell you that.

"Okay...I'm going to turn around and you will not have wings. Understood?"

"Y-yes ma'am..."

I hear a cracking sound like snapping bones. Not even gonna ask about that shit. I start to turn my body with as minimal movement as possible. Never mix Utopia and large amounts of alcohol. "So um...thanks for not letting me drown." I say, looking my uh 'savior' up and down. Pretty scrappy clothes... kinda colorless and torn, like from being washed a thousand times.

"No problem, Miss..." The boy said, looking at the ground.

"I'm sorry for going batshit by the way. Kind of thrown off." I laugh a bit, rubbing my arm. Kinda feel shitty now... never scared a kid before. Well... he's not really a kid. Wait, is he?

"How old are you?"

"M-me? Um....I don't know," he looked up at the ceiling. "I have been here for so long..."

"Okay then..." I rolled my eyes and slowly got my ass off this stony floor. Jesus Christ, everything is sore. I take a few steps and turn to see little ball of light, brightly filling the cave. Must be one of those new self-sustaining light bulbs. "So, is it like amnesia or something? Don't you have parents?"

"Um, what are those?" He said with he head cocking to the side like a confused puppy.

"The people who raised you. Ya know, took care of you and shit." I began stretching, hoping the soreness would go away. Exhaustion plus drugs and getting kicked off cliffs are very bad combinations.

"Oh, them! Yeah, I have parents. They put me here after they made me," the kid said with a goofy grin on his face.

"They put you in a cave?"

"No, no, no...they put me on earth. I picked the cave because it's nice in here," he said looking around. He pointed into the darkness, deeper in the cave, "The flying dark things live in there and make nice sounds, and the water is pretty and smells nice."

I stood there, speechless. After a few minutes of me trying to figure out what he meant, I cleared my throat and asked "What do you mean 'they put you on earth'? Are you not...from Earth?"

He looked at me and shook his head.

"Um...where are you from?" Please don't say it, please don't say it, please don't say it....

He stood up and walked towards the entrance of the cave, with me following him without thinking. He stood at the edge of the cave and pointed up into the starry night sky. "I came from up there, miss. It hurt when I fell."

Holy shit, "Well that's just fucking perfect."
